Vimex Condos have well-maintained condominiums and houses to rent on daily, weekly, or monthly bases. Units have kitchens, living areas, one or more bedrooms, and often have access to wireless internet, swimming pools, Jacuzzi’s, gardens, and decks.

Listings for houses are in the quiet neighborhood of Playacar, a residential area to the south of the Pier. Condo units vary in location, but many are near to Kool Beach Club and make for a pleasant walk to class.

Hotel Lunata is located on the pedestrian walking street, Quinta Avenida (5th avenue). The hotel’s entrance is cool and shady. As you continue into the property, away from sunny Quinta, you view the tidy green courtyard garden with its palapa-covered breakfast area. The interior green space imparts a feeling of tranquility. The garden-facing rooms are larger than most other hotel rooms in Playa, and include a balcony terrace with a table and chairs. The top floor room is although smaller, is the least expensive, and includes a view of the ocean. There is a simple rooftop deck with chairs available to all clients.

Continental breakfast is provided, and beach towels may be rented for $1 USD.

Luna Blue is located about five blocks from Kool Beach Club, off Quinta, in what locals call the “Italian neighborhood” of Playa with its many cafés, bistros, and Italian restaurants.

The hotel is more like the original Playa with its tropical outdoorsy feeling. While clients liked the hotel before the new owners Tony and Cheri bought it, with the refurbishing that they have done, they like it even more. The five kitchen rooms have a refrigerator, a stove, two beds and a trundle bed, making it convenient for friends or family who wish to share accommodations. All rooms have AC and palapa-covered terraces that look out over the tropical garden. Guests receive a pass to the Mamitas Beach Club, located a long three blocks east from the hotel on one of the nicest stretches of Caribbean sand in the area. Mamitas sports an international clientele of sun lovers. The music is groovy. A $10 USD deposit is required for use of hotel beach towels.
