Personal Power Flow and Self-Discovery Retreat - $560 USD

In this training, you will:

  • Gain strength with daily Vinyasa Power-Flow Classes.

June 15-21, 2006 Yoga Anatomy & Alignment - $750 USD

For Teachers and Students Wishing to Refine their Understanding of Postural Anatomy in Yoga.

In this training, you will learn how to:

  • Recognize the architecture of a pose.
  • Ground and center yourself and students.
  • Extend lines of energy into space.
  • Use props for optimal alignment in asanas.
  • Confidently give hands-on corrections.
  • Effectively teach mixed-level Hatha Yoga classes.
  • Incorporate alignment principals into your own practice.

Hours of Training you will receive:
35 contact hours, 8 non-contact hours.
Requirements: One Year Hatha Yoga Training (at least two classes a week).

Located 30 miles south of Cancun, Playa del Carmen is easy to get to and is the perfect location for yoga training, relaxation, and fun. Instructors

Arielle Thomas Newman, MA., E-RYT is a movement specialist with 20 years experience teaching Hatha Yoga. She has conducted Yoga By The Sea Vacations on the Caribbean Coast of Mexico since 1999. Her area of expertise is helping people find the correct alignment in their poses. She has studied with Erich Shiffmann, Judith Lasater, Rodney Yee, among others. Her articles on Yoga have appeared in Dance Magazine, La Quinta Magazine, and the Kansas City Star. She has over 6,000 hours of yoga teaching experience, and holds an MA in dance from UCLA. She trains yoga teachers in the United States and Mexico.

Ellen de Jonge, RYT specializes in teaching Power Yoga. She holds a Level II Yoga for EveryBody™ Teaching Certificate and is a graduate of the Sports Academy in Amsterdam, where she earned a Sports Instructor's Degree.

Ellen is Registered Yoga Teacher at the 200-hour level with the Yoga Alliance. She regularly teaches Aqua-Aerobics in addition to her popular Yoga By The Sea Vinyasa Power-Flow Classes. She has successfully completed the Power Flow Levels 1 and 2 of Baron Baptiste's Teacher Training Program.
